TRACKS OF THE WEEK casette

Listen up people, it’s time for a whopping great spoonful of fresh new music.

Featuring a host of piping hot tracks, this month’s playlist features the creme de la creme of indie pop, rock and alternative artists from across the globe. If this is what the rest of Q4 is set to look like, we’re in for a pretty big treat.

Little Galaxies kick of proceedings with a slow burner in the form of “Safe in the Storm”. Soothing vocals and understated guitar lines combine to form a fresh, steadily building cut. Other notable appearances include the supremely talented Tom Forest, who brings forth “Superhuman” his latest soul filled offering crammed with fire.

The ever-brilliant Sure Sure tell us to get our “Hands Up Head Down” with their fresh cut. It’s minimal. It’s building. It’s a corker. Let’s not forget the might of Bend Sinister – rough and ready Canadian rockers producing music with clout – while Bad Sounds storm onto the scene ahead of next month’s show at Scala with Kyko and OUTLYA (who also make a cheeky appearance).

SOAP are taking us back to the “Golden Days” with their surging track, a sound that melds delightfully infectious hooks and soaring choruses. RedFaces also tell us to “Take It Or Leave It” with their indie vocals and blisteringly raw sound – definitely one to keep an ear out for. Oh, and if you haven’t already, keep an eye out for Tired Lion, an Aussie band firing out more riffs than Slash on a 24hour bender (keep your eyes out for an exclusive interview).

Toulouse has returned with his signature, soul-doused vocals. They’re silky, they’re indulgent, and there’s something there that makes us think of the sugarcoated tones of Seal. Josh Flowers is taking us on a trip with his latest offering “Car I Drive”, whilst ALMA hones her skills with none other than French Montana. CHMBRS take us on an adventure down the “Rabbit Hole” with their fresh new track, bristling with synths and transcendent harmonies. Oh, and let’s not forget the sheer force of Sea Girls – a band who know how to woo us with their soaring indie ideals.
