Bulow

Canadian singer Bülow has taken Spotify by storm with her debut single ‘This Is Not A Love Song’.

At just 17, this ambitious star in the making has gained over 90,000 Spotify plays in under a week – and to think, at 17 my biggest accomplishment was not getting kicked out of French class.

With one foot in the door, Bülow has created the powerful EP, Damaged Vol. 1, where “This Is Not A Love Song” originates. The track flaunts an en-vogue, electro pop feel that’s currently sweeping the nation courtesy of artists like Dagny, Ralph and Sigrid. Teasing adolescent melancholy, the cut is bursting with surging synths and vigorous percussion.

Bülow is certainly finding her feet, pairing lush vocals with lyrical virtuoso, as “This is Not a Love Song” takes you on a psychedelic journey back to your raging teens – or simply last Friday night’s drinks.

Honing her craft at summer camp, Megan (Bülow’s off stage name) socialised with the creme-de-la-creme of the Canadian music business. From Lowell and Nate J to Mike Wise and Kevin Figs, it’s a pretty extensive list. Side note: please forward us this ‘summer camp’s’ contact details ASAP Rocky (he probably taught there).

So do tune into her track below and be swept away by Bülow’s diva dynamics.
