The latest sonic scheme from singer-songwriter Drew Tyler, fresh cut “Beautiful Animals” exudes a whimsical charm that can’t help but leave you thinking a collab with Portugal The Man or Tame Impala could soon be in the works.
A sound he self-defines as “Desert Rock”, the project feels like a truly vintage affair – albeit with a thoroughly contemporary pop-infused edge. It’s the kind of sound you can easily imagine drifting out after one toke too many in the middle of the Joshua Tree desert.
