The latest collaboration between Melbourne-based producer Wayfarer// and dulcet vocalist LANKS, “Broken Wire” brings forth a surging and infectious summer sound.
Taken from upcoming EP, Garden State, the track brings forth an electronic, indie invasion. Tinkering synths and mellow guitar lines combine to create this wholesome and infectious offering.
“Broken Wire is is about growing up and not wasting your moments and opportunities,” notes vocalist LANKS. “It can often feel like you are treading this fine line of life being great and then flicking over into this vein of disappointment, like you’re underachieving or not living life the way we’re supposed to, but nobody really knows the answer to that anyway. The line that really sums it up for me is ‘growing up for nothing, but another time’. Sometimes I look forward too much, and don’t appreciate the present and that’s a timely reminder to myself.”
