After discovering it’s officially been a decade since James Blunt scored a UK number with that incredibly catchy yet horrendously annoying single “You’re Beautiful” (if you have a death wish and want everyone in your office to hate you, feel free to click the link above), we’ve all been left feeling a little bit old and nostalgic.
Primarily due to the fact we’re in denial and the best way to accept we’re getting old is by confronting ourselves with the cold hard facts, One Stop Record Shop has decided to name this segment “A Decade Ago Today”.
So without further ado, on this day back in 2005 Oasis hit the number one spot with their single “The Importance Of Being Idle”. The video became a hit, primarily due to the fact Rhys Ifans is absurdly convincing in his portrayal of ‘the creepy undertaker with incredibly slick moves’.
Well done boys, you did good.
