Volcanoes are a Yorkshire-based band who know exactly how to turn music into magic. Their upcoming new single “When We Melodise” is a perfect example of it. It has got all the ingredients a modern classic should have: catchy melodies, hooky riffs and a unique component which makes one’s skin shiver.
A minimalistic yet powerful production makes the track contagious from the word “go”. The hypnotising string arrangements add another dimension to the song and take the listener on a journey through nostalgia, mystery, sadness and beauty. It’s hard to find all the adjectives which will do this song justice. It is probably best if you hear for yourself and make up your own mind.
