Saltwater Sun Making Eyes

Saltwater Sun Making Eyes

As a band on the rise, Saltwater Sun are more than just another aspiring London pop-rock breakout act. Their second single “Making Eyes” is the follow-up to the bands debut release “Habit On My Mind“, and with an ever-growing fan base, it’s a track that’s set to surpass the success of its predecessor (a song that’s wracked up over 36,000 hits on Soundcloud alone).

Fronted by husky female vocals (think Florence meets Lana with a pinch of something special), Saltwater Sun are a guitar infused rarity in an industry oversaturated with synth heavy electronica. The five piece have positioned themselves amongst the likes of Alvvays, Moon King and Arcade Fire, mixing breezy summer vibes and up tempo melodies with steady bass lines and quirky rock riffs. In other words, honing their sights on a sector of the market where good quality pop-rock has been pretty thin on the ground.

“Making Eyes” is a track that radiates sunshine, ideal for a city like London that certainly finds itself lacking in that department. And in terms of a follow up single? Well, it’s exceeded expectations and eaten the hype for breakfast. You can’t ask for more than that.
