If guitar driven indie is what your Wednesday is crying out for, look no further than coastal newcomers Suzi Island.
Hailing from the musical hotbed that is Brighton, the duo bring forth a delightfully raw sound, intertwining fervent rhythm and rapturous choruses that can’t help but enthral. Formed of 19 year-olds Hugh Reilly-Smith and Matthew Carter, the pair have cemented their sound with the help of stirring guitars and reverb laden riffs.
Fresh cut “Show Me The Way” may well be the pair’s flagship release but with The Vaccine’s Pete Robertson heading up production, it’s clear the pair are already peaking the industry’s interest.
An alt-guitar offering that positions their sound somewhere between Blaenavon, Palm Honey and Two Door Cinema Club, Suzi Island have unleashed a sound packed full of promise.
Check out the cut below and be sure to catch the duo in London on 8th March @ The Old Blue Last or 22nd March at Gibson Studio alongside One Stop favourites Stereo Honey.
