INCOMING! Yes, we’ve returned with yet another influx of searing new music, this time, featuring the world’s second foremost silver fox (come on, Schofield’s a national treasure) Keith Murray. Yup, it can only be We Are Scientists.
Unleashing the fervent sound of “Your Light Has Changed“, the duo waste no time in beginning the onslaught of reverb and feedback. A solid rock offering if ever we heard it, the latest single comes in marked contrast to the fizzing electro-pop sounds of previous cut “One In, One Out“. “There’s something about a sick, lumbering guitar riff and a Neanderthal drumbeat that’s undeniable to us,” explains bassist Chris Cain. And with the accompanying video depicting the dissemination of a mysterious samizdat (how clandestine), this is an offering worth a few moments of your time.
“I mean, the ideal outcome for any music video is that it gains mass viewership and has a profound impact on the people who see it, right?” asks Keith. “Personally, I consider this video to be downright aspirational.” Announcing their return in style with sixth album, Megaplex, the Brooklyn outfit are sure to storm UK airwaves once again.
