So HANSON played their first gig here in London for nearly 4 years a couple of nights ago and it sure did live up to expectation!

Spontaneous? YES

Intimate Venue? YES

Free? YES

Helping a good cause? ITS WHAT THEY DO!

so overall a 300 strong crowd in a legendary intimate venue on Oxford street was bound to go down well. The 100 club is in desperate need of financial help as soaring rent increases in central London threaten to shut this legendary venue, that has hosted acts such as paul mccartney, sex pistols, rolling stones and oasis.

Covering most of their new album ‘shout it out’ as well as older material and the mandatory ‘mmmbop’ the crowd loved it and i think this was a breakthrough gig for them as a band. For so long they have been stereotyped and typecast as a result of mmmbop and by attracting a slightly different audience the press has gone wild. “This isn’t Hanson” said one glossy magazing and “they’ve all grown up!” said another. People are starting to see them as real musicians with a rather real talent after long last, well here are some photos, so enjoy!
