As demos go, Israeli group Electric Zoo‘s latest offering has certainly caught our eye.
Invoking a distinctly Royal Blood-esque vibe, courtesy of hard-hitting guitar riffs and soaring melodies, “Can’t Drown A Memory” is a reverb-laced frenzy. Their debut, Diamonds In The Sand, burst onto the scene with the force of a tsunami, so it’s safe to say we’ve been on tenterhooks, awaiting a slew of new material.
Sure, it’s a demo, and there are certainly areas that could do with a little tightening up (the spotlight grabbing guitar-lines overpower the vocals on a 10:1 ratio) however, there’s a raw and real edge to these chaps that we simply can’t ignore.
