Two Cartoons Male

Two Cartoons Male

We love pop rock. We don’t care where it comes from, its political persuasion or just how many amps it took to create it; as long as it attempts to satisfy our musical appetite, we’re happy. So in honour of the Rugby World Cup and the fact the All Blacks flattened the French yesterday (sacré bleu!), we thought why not join in the celebrations and bring you an offering from the Southern Hemisphere.

Introducing Two Cartoons, a guitar led pop sensation hailing from a land down– erm, I mean, New Zealand. Having formed in early 2011, the boys set out to capture the summer, drawing influence from bands like Best Coast, Wavves and The Drums.

Describing their sound as “simple, stone-age garage rock songwriting mixed with catchy vocals and youthful exuberance,” Two Cartoons have even taken to the stage alongside the likes of Tame Impala, The Presets, Kimbra and Mark Ronson. After moving to London in 2014 (OK, so it’s a Kiwi offering with a European twist), the band have literally played everywhere, including your living room sofa.

Males” is their latest release to hit the interweb and it’s well worth a listen. Click below to serve audio delights to your eardrums.

P.S. Check out their official website, it’s rather entertaining.
