Merging flecks of Americana with reverb laden instrumentals, Brendan Benson has returned to make a statement.
It was back in 2005 that he joined Jack White in forming the Raconteurs. Scoring a number one single with “Steady as She Goes”, the group were propelled to the heady heights of success. Now, over a decade on, Benson is here with a hearty offering, “Half A Boy (And Half A Man)”.
The Michigan-born songwriter who finds himself blending into the pop end of the scale, Benson brings forth his signature power and grit. Blending his distinctive vocals with rapturous drum fills and heavy riffs, his sound is one that’s downright recognisable.
