Brighton’s frenzied rock purveyors YONAKA have returned, accompanied by enough slick visuals to grease your bloody socks off.
Fresh cut “Bubblegum” is like a whopping great punch in the face. “Bubblegum”s accompanying video is like the follow up you never saw coming. Gritty party scenes are interlaced with cut-aways featuring what can only be described as giant, bubblegum smothered rooms. It goes without saying that YONAKA have clearly brought the energy – and the bite.
Ripped kicking and screaming from their debut EP, Heavy, the collection of tracks is an out-and-out show of force. Guitar heavy and ready for action, the release saw the band working closely with Rodaidh Mcdonald (The XX, Sampha) on production.
The video comes alongside the announcement that YONAKA is set to play The Garage, London – her biggest show to-date – on February 28th.
