Emerging from the ashes like a mighty phoenix (we’ve got to make a dramatic entrance, give us a break), this month’s playlist is crammed full of more new music than any sensical human would recommend.
This month, we’ve got offerings from the likes of alt troupe-leaders Cursive, riff rebels The Pink Spiders and smattering of pop courtesy of Finnish powerhouse ALMA. There’s fierce competition on the female firepower front, with Fickle Friends surging forth with fresh cut “The Moment“, YONAKA‘s riff heavy anthem “Teach Me To Fight” and Sigrid‘s smash anthem “Sucker Punch“.
And let’s not forget Miles from Kinshasa – fresh cut “Analogue” is an absolute corker of a track, blending climbing synths with a dulcet, lounge-infused vibe. Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness has returned with a few “Teenage Rockstars” in tow, whilst Tuvaband and The Struts make star appearances alongside DUETS AND STUFF to round up this month’s soundscape.
Oh, and if you hadn’t heard, we’ve got a blistering night of live music taking place at The Finsbury on 31st October and you’re all invited (we’re not joking, it’s totally FREE and you can nab your tickets here)! We’ve got a sublime bill, featuring the pop-doused sounds of Lucy Whittaker, the fierce indie vibes of Jumanji and the gritty tones of Samuel Jack to serve up.
