It’s time to inject some rock into your Thursday courtesy of this fresh AF premiere from US natives Avantist.
New cut “this_could_be_it” is more than just a file name, fusing up-tempo melodies with enough cymbal action to please even the heaviest of rock fans. Unrelenting drum fills and fervent melodies combine, creating a track that’s bursting with fury.
An avantist, by definition, means an avant-gardist – emphasising, practicing, and celebrating experimental and unorthodox methods and techniques. And when it comes to this band, it’s a term that fits the bill. Formed of four Hispanic brothers from Chicago churning out post-rock riffs, it’s a bold combination worth a listen.
