If you’re after a mellow dose of acoustic pop right about now, look no further than the soulful sound of Mark Elliot.

Fresh live cut “Good Way” is a dulcet dose of urban tinged songwriting, intertwining ambient pop melodies and surging falsetto choruses. Smothered with silky piano interludes, “Good Way” is a laid back follow up to debut release “Dead End Love Affair”.

Is it a love song? Is it a warning? “‘Good Way’ was a song written at an interesting time in my life; it marks settling down in some ways and starting new adventures in others,” Mark states of the track. “For me, the song has two main themes: the most obvious explores meeting someone that changes you for the better and the other reflects on a feeling that although having ambition and goals is a good thing, it can be all-encompassing and it’s important to make time for life, (‘ambition has a danger with it, it grows to fill the space you give it’).

Having landed his debut support slot with the one and only indie songstress Gabrielle Aplin, the future’s certainly looking bright for the UK singer-songwriter.
