William The Conquerer Single Tend To Thorns

If anthemic indie outfits are your piping hot cuppa tea, look no further than the powerful sound of William The Conquerer.

We’re pleased to bring you an exclusive premiere in the form of “Tend To The Thorns“, the British trio’s fresh new offering that’s set to impress. The latest cut sees the group once again bring together an eclectic, genre-spanning sound, positioning itself somewhere between rock heavyweights Kings Of Leon and a the folk edge of emerging acts like Quigley.

The lead track from their debut album, Proud Disturber Of The Peace, the recording process saw the band getting experimental. With heavily layered instrumentals,  “Tend To The Thorns” harbours a sound that packs one hell of a punch. Tinged with drippings of Americana, this indie-infused rock ‘n’ roll offering sits comfortably alongside Nashville’s acclaimed musical repertoire.

“It’s about trust I guess and owning your mistakes,” notes multi-instrumentalist Ruarri Joseph of the track. “It’s one of the first songs we recorded in my garage still messing around with our sound. We only had three channels but knew we wanted it huge, so we did a mix where we had three drum kits all going at once and yeah, it sounded huge. The only trouble was you couldn’t hear anything else. Like the song, it was a lesson in going too far and then figuring out the answer once you’ve calmed down!”
