Adrian Glynn, morelightthannolight, review, new music, london,

It’s time for a bubblin’ pop offering from Vancouver-based Adrian Glynn.

With his latest album, morelightthannolight, having none other than The Zolas behind its production wheel, there was no doubt it would unleash a powerful sound.

Glynn left behind a budding career as a character actor embodying pimps and junkies (life goals right there) to follow the more subdued path of an aspiring singer-songwriter. Penning his compositions on acoustic and lap-slide guitars, as well as a balalaika (we can’t pronounce it either but apparently it’s a Ukrainian folk instrument), passed down through a century of ancestry.

If the quirky instrument names didn’t float your metaphorical boat, then maybe this chipper track will. Go on, you know you want to…
