Citing a range of genre-spanning influences–from Catfish & the Bottlemen and Blossoms, through to Royal Blood and Kanye West–”Squire” is the latest single from the Hertfordshire five-piece. A track that’s far more likely to conjure images of Californiacation than a rainy spot in the home counties, “Squire” emits a bluesy air reminiscent of mainstream hitmakers like John Mayer and Jack Johnson – all with a somewhat roughed-up edge.
