Bringing forth a surging rock offering to kick off your Friday, Blacktop Queen have arrived.
Returning with a vibrant offering in “DESERT“, the track melds unrelenting rhythm with a rough edge highlighted by raw, strumming guitars. It’s a delight on the ears, capturing hint of Saint PHNX and Kasabian whilst adding a dynamic edge to the rock-tinged affair.
“We basically recorded an entire EP, and made a trip to Joshua Tree with hopes of finishing it,” notes drummer Nate Lotz. “It was during that trip that we realized we hadn’t made the music that was a true representation of us. We scrapped the entire EP and wrote a song about losing your soul. Blacktop Queen found its soul in the DESERT.”
Consisting of Evan Ambrose (vocals) and Nate Lotz (drums) – previous credits inc. drums for Halsey & Ryan Adams – the duo have crafted a fierce war cry in their latest offering. It’s unrelenting, it’s hook-heavy, it’s everything your Friday needs.
