Bloodboy aka Lexi Papillion is a surfer-turned-songwriter with bucket loads of attitude. Judging from her sophomore offering, it was a wise career move for the LA newcomer.
“Hey Kid” makes a statement, blending post-punk defiance with the catchiest of electronic melodies. It’s a truly infectious smattering of indie pop, a sound that draws comparisons with the likes of Marina and the Diamonds and ‘act of the moment’ Halsey.
