BOKEH EP, artwork. review, music

In what is her first solo release, New Zealand-born and Brussels-based Chloe Lewer, aka BOKEH, has unleashed “Don’t Leave The Fire“.

Hitting us with a fun, electro-pop tune, her latest single is guaranteed to get you up and dancing, channeling your inner 80s disco persona. The recently released EP of the same name is personal in its approach, revealing the life and love of Bokeh through deeply meaningful lyrics and intimate, sincere vocals.

There’ll be no more tears for yesterday’s years” are the whispered lyrics from the EP’s track “Skeleton Woman“, the exception to the rule, harbouring a mellower, more subdued undercurrent, lifted with hints of guitar.

With a distinct, thumping bassline, layered with smooth electronic sounds, “Don’t Leave The Fire” is simply all about the fun. Her girls-just-wanna-have fun vibe is only brought out more by the accompanying music video, where BOKEH can be seen go-karting around in the coolest outfits and most stylish accessories.

We can’t wait to see what more this budding artist has in store.  Check out the video and the tune and share with us your thoughts!
