If boundless energy is what you’re after, Dance à la Plage is without a doubt the band for you.

With a reputation for producing charismatic indie-pop, their eargasmic new track “222” firmly cements this standing. To put it in perspective, think the harmonious synchronisation of The 1975 meets the melodic guitar lines of Two Door Cinema Club and you’re pretty much there. Tackling 2017 at full speed, the band have already caught the eye of BBC Introducing Oxford, effortlessly sweeping us into an indie frenzy.

Despite the name sounding somewhat like a bus route (nothing wrong with that as long as it’s punctual), all our slightly paunchy population need right now is some “222” –  the perfect antidote for January Blues. The hypnotic climax of the Middle 8 will have you falling to your knees in a manic air guitar rampage, sticking two fingers up to 2016 in post-Trump/Brexit bewilderment.
