Putting a twist on the notable sound of naughties indie rock, Danny Starr has stepped forward with a twinkle in his eye.
“Cupid’s Drunk” is taken from his freshly released debut EP, Darling , merging raw vocals with all the reverb you’d expect from an urgent, guitar-led single. There’s no ignoring the flecks of Razorlight found in the verses – something that can seem a little overpowering at times – however, the combination of soaring vocals and foot-tapping, anthemic choruses is enough to keep you listening for days.
