“I Still Run is about a friend of mine who overdosed,” notes Jon Black. “Matthew was one of the smartest and funniest people I knew. He was part of this group of friends I had in high school. We were not bad kids at all, we were just mischievous. I wanted to remember all the fun things we did, all the adventures we went on, and journeys we went on together. I wanted to let him know that I’m still on that journey.”
