MINT

Grimsby based quartet Mint have only gone and released a refreshing, innovative summer anthem, in the form of “Hypoallergenic“.

Following on from their Spotify Viral sweeper “Elise“, these guys have nailed the art of the hook. Their new rattletrap is infused with a similar strain of indie-pop magic, inflected with 90s and 80s guitar lines a-plenty. Branded as “music to kiss strangers to”, Mint appear nearly as naughty as May running through a wheat field. Valiant.

With cheeky lyrics and a hypnotising gravelly tone, “Hypoallergenic” dares you to run away with your teen sweetheart, especially in prime holiday season. Not to mention, their look channels a young, brooding Heath Ledger (picture 10 Things I Hate About You + Patrick Verona) swept away by the sweet smell of teen deviance via disheveled locks. Delicious.

Their sound inherently champion’s rebellion, and we absolutely adore it!
