A bristling, funk-filled offering to top off your Wednesday morning, Pet Fangs are here and boy does this track have bite.
The project was launched by brothers Joe and David Stark from band Baby Bee, plus bassist, songwriter and creative visionary Jory Cordy, and Ben Alleman (he’s the keyboardist for Ryan Adams, didn’t you know?).
Fresh cut “Gold Coast Dreaming” harbours a bouncing sense of adventure. Conceived whilst playing darts and listening to a Charlotte Gainsbourg record, the inspiration behind the sound suddenly all makes sense. A track that can only be summed up as the ultimate musical stir fry, imagine Foster The People and Beck were seasoned with Kasabian’s latest sound – but in a giant ass wok. Either way, if you’re not a fan of extreme cooking analogies (erm, why are you on this site then?) then trust us, Pet Fangs have nailed their USP.
