Saint Mesa - Jungle single review

Pairing bold, jarring melodies with an edgy AF aesthetic, Saint Mesa is a project carefully crafted by self-taught musician Danny Cook.

Spawned following years of hospitalisation for a rare disease, McCook has channeled the solitude and isolation that accompanied the experience to create his latest sonic offering. New release, “Jungle“, is an alt-pop triumph, teaming hallucinatory visuals courtesy of brother Isaac McCook – we’re talking either a really bad trip or a vivid journey of self-discovery – with a magically haunting undercurrent.

The track sees uplifting melodies and radiant choir-like vocal arrangements dance with flecks of darkness to create a sound that’s a must listen for fans of Friendly Fires and Empire Of The Sun.
