The Ivins Tell Me

Rock ‘n’ Roll comes in all shapes and sizes, none more so than this latest offering from Nashville-based The Ivins.

Complete with soaring, arena worthy choruses, “Tell Me” blends flecks of The Stereophonics with the uplifting hooks and ferocity of bands like You Me At Six and Little Brother Eli.

Taken from their new album, The Code Duello, set for release on 28th April, latest release “Tell Me” is a surging example of anthemic rock. Production wise it feels as though there’s still a little way to go for this band, however, the raw angst, melodies and fundamental spark are all there, transforming frustration into fuel for their journey.

The product of three lost record deals and multiple managers, lawyers and investors, their forthcoming album deals with the struggle to complete the final product. With guitarist and lyricist Jim Ivins channeling him and his brother’s music industry frustrations into seething indictments, like the hypnotic “Out Of Air,” the fast paced “Nothing Left To Say” and the delay-driven toe-tapper, “Mountains”.

Far from a concept album, the cruel reality of the music industry isn’t the only subject in Ivins’ line of fire. Be sure to grab a copy come 28th April and be sure to check out the single below:
