“Life is so easy for the straight white man” – or so say the lads and ladies of The Rocking Horse Club, here to cause riots behind your eardrums and get your nan all flustered.
Already causing anarchy on the interweb (racking up a staggering 56k views on Facebook in its first 3 days), “Straight White Man” is a succinct, two-fingered “F**K YOU!” at the everyday racism and sexism gracing this wonderful land we like call home.
This Brighton bunch are hitting hard with their roaring punk attitude, blending flecks of The Offspring with the angst and two-fingers-to-the-man attitude of Sløtface. It’s an utterly glorious and comedic take on what is, in reality, a rather serious matter.
What can we say? We’re fans of any band who have the creativity to invoke the below reaction (these are all genuine comments taken from the video posted on social media). Here’s to the racists, the misogynists and the complete and utter idiots who line the silty bottom of the world wide web – thank you for crawling out of your dank cubby-holes to thrust your medieval views upon the world.
