If Gotye-esque layering and stripped down acoustics are your cuppa jojo, be sure to take a sip of THØSS’ latest offering.

Blending reverberating instrumentals with raw, tinkering cymbals, “Work Is A Four Letter Word” is a dynamic offering that harbors a distinct undercurrent reminiscent of acts like HAUS and, as previously mentioned, Gotye.

A purveyor of small town nostalgia, THØSS draws inspiration from his youth in the sleepy commuter town of Fleet. The British singer-songwriter delves into painful relationships and the anxiety of 21st century living, producing a melodic, slow building sound.

Of the single, THØSS remarks: ‘‘Work Is A Four Letter Word’ came from the realisation that working a menial job provided me with a sense of worth – a liniment of sorts. I was flipping hot dogs and feeling better about my place in the world.’

Taken from his upcoming sophomore EP, MayDay, the fresh cut is the follow up to his acclaimed debut Benchwarmer. Be sure to check the track out below and let us know your thoughts!
