Music is one of the most unifying art forms in existence. It bridges cultures, connects religions, overcomes conflicts and challenges stereotypes.
So, please bear with me as I ask you to press play and close your eyes for just one second (or 3 minutes and 55 seconds to be exact).
OK. Now take a gander at this band’s country of origin. Ireland maybe? Come on, it’s gotta be Gaelic?!
Nope.
Introducing When Chai Met Toast – a band forging a distinctive, folk-filled road from a location you’d never have predicted. Producing a sound reminiscent of Mumford and Sons or The Lumineers, in order to catch this four-piece live, you’ll have to purchase an international flight to either Kochi or Bangalore. Yes, I did just say India.
The word uplifting has never applied so accurately to a track, with “Firefly” radiating a sound that will undoubtably provoke infectious foot stomping that cannot be curbed. It’s feel good music – and then some.
Check out more on the band at their Facebook page above and keep your ear to the ground for more sonic delights from these boys.
