Petite Meller releases The Flute

If the population of the world were to make one discovery on this utterly dreary day, let it be Petite Meller, the French lolita-esque oddity on a one woman mission to revolutionise pop.

For those of you unfamiliar with Meller, you might want to take a look at what we made of her last live London show. She’s as obscure as they come – a quaint pop anomaly in a world of overproduced electronic hype. And that’s precisely the reason why we adore her and the quaint, alternative world she creates.

“The Flute” is no exception, blending unadulterated buttery pop, countless hooks and a spellbinding alternative edge. Always one for pulling out an impressive video, Meller made her way to Mongolia for the video, one that features eye-catching costumes and blusher by the bucket load. Meller embodies everything that the current industry shies away from, shunning perfectly photoshopped sex-appeal with a side of autotune, for an alternative, somewhat confusing alternate reality.
