It is indeed, but over here at The One Stop Record Shop we simply can’t get enough of these guys! ‘The Wire’ is the latest single from the trio of siblings and comes with a suitably comedic video. Featuring all three girls breaking up with their respective on screen partners who to put it mildly, take it pretty badly. We have to admit that when we first came across the single, we certainly did not picture this sort of video but the more we watch it, the more we love it!
This single certainly has the quirky indie edge we are used to from these three, combining a folk feel with a more contemporary pop/rock sound. It sounds more mainstream than their previous singles but it’s still easy to understand why these girls have drawn comparisons with the legendary Fleetwood Mac. It is certainly a catchy, hum a long to the radio, chart friendly hit, so much so it’s even managed to hit the BBC Radio 1 playlist. Good luck to the Californian rockers, we love what you’re doing, keep up the good work.
