Speak, Brother

Crafting wholesome, cinematic tunes like they’re second nature, the fierce sound of Speak, Brother can once again be found emanating from our weeping speakers.

Serving up an emotional sucker-punch, fresh cut “Magnesium Burn” blends signature folk speckled instrumentals with hook-heavy choruses capable of captivating you from the off. Channeling a sound reminiscent of Matthew and the Atlas, crossed with Mumford and Sons’ and Bombay Bicycle Club’s illegitimate lovechild, this is a playlist worthy addition.

A track born out of frustration under the dark shadow of depression, “Magnesium Burn” is a triumphant call of defiance. “I’ve been distracted from what’s real, worrying what’s behind the corner. I’ve not done things, said things, loved people just because I’m not sure what would happen,” remarks frontman James Herring.
