Their latest track “Hangin” is set to be the first single off their long-awaited second album. What do we make of the result? Well, in true Bastille style it’s a generous helping of dark pop. It’s infectious to say the least, but I’m not going to start proclaiming it’s the greatest pop track my ears have ever heard because that would be lying, and no one wants that now, do they?
It’s a single filled with guitar heavy choruses, catchy hooks and arena friendly chants of “woooaaahhh”. Drifting away from their previous synth heavy electronic sounds, the boys have certainly embraced a heavier rock infused vibe for their latest creation.
