One Stop Record Shop have an announcement to make. Now, we don’t want to alarm anyone or cause a panic, but the thing is… I think we’ve just found our favourite new band.
Going by the name of Bleeker, these boys have unleashed their latest single “Highway” on us and it’s fucking brilliant. Think old school rock’n’roll, plenty of reverb and enough hooks to ensure they land a prize catch – I’ve never been fishing, does that even make any sense?! With a video that’s capable of giving every bloke on this side of the equator a hard on (fast cars, a hot gyrating girl and slow-mo destruction – need we say more?) these boys have created a simple yet entertaining visual with a quality soundtrack to match.
With witty lyrics that are sure to spend the morning swimming around that caffeine drenched brain of yours, “Devils in the details/Pretty little females/Tell me all your sweet sweet lies”, you really ought to give this a listen. It’s pop-rock without the cheese and hell, we want them to force feed it to us by the bucket load. Keep it up boys.
