Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past twelve months, chances are you know of Blossoms. (Charlemagne, anyone?)
In their latest bid for world domination, this lively bunch of Mancunians have unleashed the video for “Blown Rose“, a suitably faded dose of cool from director Francis Wallis (think Birdy “Wild Horses” and Eliza & the Bear “Light Up”). The video sets out to create a thoroughly DIY aesthetic – on what is surely a rather non-DIY budget (they’re signed to Virgin/EMI for christ’s sake).
To be honest, who gives a shit what we think – having racked up over a quarter of a million hits on YouTube alone, they’re doing something right.
Fun fact of the day: the video was shot in none other than Hammerwood Park – a house formerly owned by rock gods Led Zeppelin.
