Labelling their sound as “Capitalistic Anti-Rock”, CAPITANO are a band whose music gives you a giant goddamn slap in the face. It’s bold, it’s flamboyant, it’s like being dosed up to the eyeballs on ecstasy and never getting the comedown.
Their latest track “My Bad” is testament to this, merging utterly ludicrous visuals and overflowing falsetto with a dash of insanity to finish off the mix. By their own admittance, CAPITANO is “an Indie party in your stepdads garage, wearing nothing but flower ornaments wrapped in a corona of manly musk. That is the CAPITANO phenomenon. Awkardly honest, honestly awkward. Picture a yellow teethed Bee Gee revival rocking the cocaine train three nights in a row.” That’s a dose of bonkers brilliance right there.
When it comes to their sound, imagine The Automatic and The Fratellis were to join forces with Nacho Libre and Liberace. Yup, “My Bad” would pretty much be the result.
