With watery-synths and a downright trippy intro, AMISTAD take us on a disjointed journey through the unknown with new track “Darkerside“.

Shot and directed by the band’s bassist, Bassett, “Darkerside” is a catchy-as-hell alt-pop track illustrating the impact of our inner thoughts and “the battle between good and bad”.

Depicting the battle of the alter-egos, this Canadian five-piece tell a story of the polar voices that often deny us of our sanity. The occasional bouncing synth blends seamlessly with growling basslines to create an almost villainous edge – a perfect reflection of the track’s title. Combining jolting visuals with ever-building choruses, “Darkerside” leads you towards a euphoric light at the end of the tunnel, before all too soon crashing down to earth with calls of “oh oh oh”.

It’s contagious, cripplingly succinct and a must-listen Track Of The Week.
