Pyke unveil new single – credit Sarah Angelica Spilling
We all like surprises. Well, at least I do. And I know they say the best things come in small packages but I think that’s downright silly – what about King Size beds and elephants?!
Anyhow, this surprise is both big and something a little left field for One Stop Record Shop but we’re loving it! Hailing from the heartlands of Scandinavia, Pyke are a duo comprised of vocalist Kjersti and Ben, her guitarist partner in crime.
The duo’s latest single “Close” is a blissfully dreamy track, combining storming cymbals, surging piano sections and enough synth layers to leave your skin tingling. Depicting the confusing state between dreams and reality, a place where both blend into one, this track rolls a spectrum of emotions into one.
Having spent three years working on their debut, Detox (released October 7th), the pair are ready to unleash their creations on the world.
