It may sound like a track drowning in sickly sweet layers of electro-pop, but there’s far more to LA-based Eriel Indigo than first meets the ear.
“Every Little Thing” sees Indigo fusing the innocent vocal qualities of Petite Meller with the quirky licks of Iggy Azalea and Jessie J, creating a candied offering that has the distinct aftertaste of EDM. Choruses of “Every little thing is gonna be ah / Every little thing is gonna be ait” set you up for bouncing beat drops and additive infused highs.
Sure it’s a scoop of pure pop in its rawest form, but there’s enough attitude and edge to see it put up a fair fight against the aforementioned big-hitters.
