YØUTH | Blame

A raw and riff filled offering, “Blame” is a fiery and surging indie-rock track from Nashville’s YØUTH (AKA Julian Denté).

Having seen his hometown evolve from a country music mecca, to a scene bursting with inventive pop, hip-hop, electronic, and of course  folk and Americana, his offering melds a host of musical influences. Debut LP, Blame, sees Yøuth resurrect their alt-rock vibe, unleashing a powerful force.

Talking about the lead album’s title track, Julian says that, “’Blame’ is a song I wrote about someone who I perceive as a constant victim of their circumstance and decision-making. It’s also about my journey from shame and guilt to reality. It’s about taking responsibility for what is mine, while also disassociating from burdens that aren’t mine to carry. It’s the title track of the upcoming record and I think it captures the mood of digging oneself out of a self-defeating mindset.”

Already gracing the stage ahead of Dashboard Confessional in Nashville this past February, it’s safe to say Yøuth is a bristling and furious musical machine with a bright, bright future.
