Kacy Hill combines James Blake, Florence and Petite Meller to create 2016’s hottest new sound.
You know that person back at school who seems to be magically brilliant at absolutely EVERYTHING they set their mind to? Well, Kacy Hill is one of those.
Sure, it’s bloody annoying. But sometimes, just sometimes, a person like Kacy comes along, and despite the fact they’re a model, dancer, have the voice of an angel AND get to hang out with A-listers, they’re actually pretty frickin’ like-able.
The model-turned-dancer-turned-pop sensation was first discovered by Yeezus himself as a backing dancer on tour. Needless to say, it wasn’t long before she found herself snapped up by Ye’s label and began laying down tracks with the likes of Travis Scott.
However, her pop drenched sound is probably not what you’d expect from a self-proclaimed hip hop ‘God’. Silky smooth vocals combine with a heavy driving piano, treading the fine line between a haunting Blake/Adele creation and alternative Petite Meller-esque fantasy.
Who knows, maybe Kanye’s far more open minded than we ever gave him credit for?
