It’s Friday, AKA #NewMusicFriday, AKA that day of the week where we can exclusively unleash freshly squeezed tunes for your listening pleasure.

Today’s incoming cut comes direct from German-based Roman Fil Bo Riva, an artist fuelling our weekend with concentrated doses of unremorseful pop. The second single ripped from his forthcoming debut album, “Blindmaker” melds dulcet indie vocals reminiscent of Johnny Borrell (plus a heap of alto thrown in for good measure) with the vibrant twang of tingling guitar layers.

Blindmaker is a song about sex,” notes Fil Bo Riva (something that fails to surprise us given the Berlin influence). “The lyrics came together very quickly after writing down the first line and I simply wanted to portrait a scene of how physical love can feel. That desire, that adrenaline rush and that focus of it all – when everything else stops to matter and disappears.”

The feisty track (which comes complete with a neon tinged aesthetic any Hackney resident would be proud of) packs a mighty punch. Be sure to check out the track below and as always, throw your opinions in our direction!
