Peking Duck //

It’s not often we feature one that got away, but this classic track from Aussie duo Peking Duk – and released during the haze of Christmas – sees the boys join forces with Elliphant to create “Stranger”. Blending the spelling of a dyslexic with their undeniable talent for jazzy indie-electronica, “Stranger” will boomerang you to Aus and back. *insert cliché eye roll emoji here*

Following their 2014 success – recall the jaw-dropping triple platinum single “High” feat. Nicole Millar? – these Australian luminaries have gone from strength to strength. With demand reaching fever pitch following their 2015 U.S. tour, the boys have spent the subsequent years smashing the festival circuit, taking in: SXSW, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Electric Zoo, TomorrowWorld and Life Is Beautiful, to name but a few.

‘Stranger’ is the perfect countdown to the weekend. Mixing slick electro beats, alongside Elliphants raw vocals, the whole recipe is topped off with a punchy yet bittersweet final kick. Artily bizarre, the visuals pull you into a canine utopia, dropping you headfirst into a ‘Baker’s bites’ commercial.  Put bluntly, if you’re a pooch fanatic, then this video is well worth a nosy.
