Liverpool is the UK’s unofficial musical capital. Churning out more top-class riffs than you can shake a fender at, the city has come up trumps once again, bringing forth helpings of rock ‘n’ roll courtesy of Scouse lads Sugarmen.

Their latest offering, “Push Button Image” is a high-tempo dose of reverb. Lacing rough ‘n’ ready riffs with infectious, Wombats-esque vocals and hints of Spring King on crack, this is one sonic mixture that’s worth absorbing in all its dazed glory.

Blending infectiously manic energy and heapfuls of psychedelic angst, these chaps have already undertaken their fair share of touring, supporting The Jesus & Mary Chain, Blur, Paul Weller and The Who to name but a few.

Interesting little fact of the day here: the track takes its title from the retro futurism of the 1950s when appliances and computers promised the world at ‘the push of a button’. We love a bit of trivia.
