An infectious indie-pop ode to love lost, today’s Track Of The Day serves up a sublimely raw and sentimental sound from Boston-bred Adam Jensen.

Latest track “You Don’t Love Me Like Before” blends shimmering synths with plucky guitar lines to craft an infectiously lo-fi offering. Recounting a love that’s no longer reciprocated (we’ve all been there, weeping uncontrollably into your keyboard and then cursing the fact the ‘F’ and ‘U’ keys refuse to work), this fresh cut is a snappy and reflective pop contender.

I think this is probably the saddest song I’ve ever written,” notes Jensen. “It’s about that moment you realise it, the moment it hits you – she doesn’t love you like before. Hits ya like a brick to the face or a knife to the stomach – and I actually know what both of those things feel like. The song is about looking back at the things you did wrong. Looking back on a love that was right there under your nose but you didn’t take care of it…”

Forming part of the latest wave of emerging indie-pop artists infused with a soul usually associated with modern-day singer-songwriters, Jensen evokes a sound reminiscent of acts like The Beach, Passport To Stockholm and Into The Ark.
