Chappell Roan

Infiltrating our speakers with her goosebump inducing harmonies, Chappell Roan is an artist set for big things.

The intoxicating sounds of “Good Hurt” are both indulgent and menacing, powerful enough to leave you branded a Roan addict (trust us, we’re already attending meetings).  The compelling video that accompanies “Good Hurt” is directed by Griffin Stoddard and invokes a haunting, medusa-esque aesthetic.

Penning lyrics about loss, love and heartbreak, Roan’s voice reverberates with the world-weary wisdom that belies her 19 years. It’s a wonderfully dappled blend of dark and light, invoking soaring choruses, menacing melodies and a dynamic sound that’s bound to set the charts on fire.

“When I sing I want people to feel every emotion,” she notes. “I hope they get a better understanding of me as a human being and not just a singer.”

The track will be followed by her debut ‘School Nights’ EP, set to drop on Friday September 15th.
